A Technical Partnership
The Windessa Group traces its origins to the RTS Research Lab, founded in 1976 as an intellectual‑property management and technology advisory service. By the 1980s, our work expanded into helping companies navigate monetization and commercialization challenges. Two clients became major forces in their respective industries: Symbol Technologies in bar‑code scanning and Based10 in defense related safety‑critical software and safety-critical pharmaceutical manufacturing software (First ever to gain FDA approval.).
In 2007, we restructured the organization, bringing in a new generation of leadership to align with the rapidly evolving digital and new‑media landscape. Throughout our history, we have operated as a collaborative network of best‑in‑class subcontractors, each selected for deep expertise across key technical disciplines.
Our management team spans patent strategy, advanced technology, financial management, technical marketing, and Wall Street experience, enabling us to support clients from concept through commercialization.
